Parish Nurse Program and Health Committee

This program is an outreach of St. Francis Medical center’s Health Ministry, in which an RN, assigned to this congregation, works with the Health Committee to promote wellness and prevention programs, with an emphasis on spiritual wellness. There is also a collaborative relationship with the Visitation Committee and the Pastor.

This program began in September of 1998 and has offered many programs for all ages in areas of Health Counseling, Resource and Community Liaison, Health Screening, Fitness Programs and Educational Opportunities like monthly Forums on health and spirituality issues, as well as a monthly Health Newsletter.  

The mission statement of the Health Committee is as follows:

 This is a ministry to bring health and wholeness to the parish by promoting good health and spirituality, through education and special programs.   We are committed to empowering men, women and children to seek health in mind, body and spirit by working together to utilize resources within the parish and community.
