Head Greeter: Susan Decker, E-mail,
568-0828.
Every Sunday morning before the 8:00 am and 10:00 am services, parishioners
who have volunteered for and been trained in the ministry of Greeting,
are in the Narthex to welcome the worshipping community as they enter
the church. Greeters are part of the Welcoming and Inclusion Team.
There is one Greeter scheduled for the 8:00 am service, and two for
the 10:00 am service.

At face value, one might think: 'What is there to greeting people
as they enter the church?' And 'Why is this a ministry?' Greeters
represent the 'face of Trinity,' offer that initial spirit of warmth
and welcome to all parishioners, and also are often the first important
'link' in our welcoming process for visitors and newcomers -- a very
important ministry at Trinity. The Greeters also serve as resources
of information and as guides for parishioners, especially newcomers.
And they are ready to make nametags for new members, and, along with
the Ushers, to assist people with special needs as they enter the
church.

Greeters are trained in appropriate and meaningful methods and attitudes
of greeting before they serve. One of the most important things we've
learned is to let God work through us to be a welcoming presence to
our faith community, and to enjoy our ministry! Greeting is unexpectedly
rewarding and it is also a wonderful way to meet people. If you think
you would enjoy serving the community in this way, please contact
Leslie Campbell. There is always room for more enthusiastic and qualified
volunteers!
