Supper Club at Vera Cruz Village

Update from the Rev. Sarah Thomas

Last month, a team from Trinity cooked a homemade meal and brought it over to enjoy with the residents of Vera Cruz Village, one of the permanent supportive housing buildings in downtown SB. This was our first time trying this model of eating together and enjoying conversation around tables and it went great. One resident said, "I felt really good after that dinner." There will be opportunities in the future for parishioners to help cook the meal, which takes place the third Thursday of each month.

This new ministry grew out of a previous ministry at the FARO Center, which we had to pause since they aren't able to offer hot meals at this time. Alongside the Transition House monthly meal and the Warming Center which will start up soon, Trinity loves being able to serve our neighbors in this way and grow in relationship together.
