Noon Concert @ Trinity: Music in May

Celebrate spring with a nod to the month of May and Norway's Constitution Day (Syttende Mai, May 17th) with a solo piano program featuring local Santa Barbara pianist Alvise Pascucci. Alvise will perform works by Grieg and others.

Hailed by music critics as “an outstanding young pianist who possesses a virtuoso technique as well as musicianship of the highest order,” Alvise Pascucci is a decorated Italian pianist with a vast repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary music. He is the winner of over 60 national and international awards, including first prizes at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and the International Franz Liszt Center Online Piano Competition. Mr. Pascucci has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, Steinway Hall in London, and the Gnessin Academy of Music concert hall in Moscow. As a soloist, he has collaborated with the Taipei Philharmonia Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Ploiești, and the Orchestra Città di Grosseto. He holds a Performer Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he studied with Roberto Plano, and recently completed his Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s Fellowship and studied under Paul Berkowitz. He currently serves as Principal Collaborative Pianist for the Sing! program at the Music Academy of the West and as Music Director at Christ Lutheran Church in Goleta, California.
