More about our Ministries
Acolytes
An acolyte’s purpose is to serve and be present at the altar during the liturgy. They bring candles to the altar, carry the processional cross, and assist the priests and congregation during worship services. This ministry is open to both adults and young adults. Training and support from other acolytes is always available, and new participants are always welcome.

Altar Guild
It has been said that liturgy begins and ends with the work of the altar guild. The work of the altar guild is not only of great importance to the liturgy, but it is also deeply spiritual and rewarding on a personal level. We work in small teams that meet on Saturdays, once a month to prepare the sanctuary for the Sunday services. Following the Sunday service, we clean the chalices, preserve the consecrated elements, and put away the sacred items. We are a supportive community who will welcome you and help you learn.

Audio Guild
Members of the Audio Guild monitor the sound system in the church during Sundays and at special services, making sure that all attendees, including those participating by Zoom, have optimum experiences. The typical participation is once monthly.

Choir
Trinity’s choir explores a variety of sacred music within the liturgical year. The Choir sings music that can be centuries old, and just as often, music that was just recently composed, and they have a lot of fun doing it. From September to June, the Choir rehearses for two hours on Thursday evenings, and then reconvenes to sing on Sunday mornings. New voices are always welcome!

Compline
Compline Sacristans prepare the space which includes candle setting and lighting, tea brewing, and ushering. During the compline service, Sacristans can enjoy the service. The time commitment is 5:30-9pm. Trinity’s Compline is 7-8pm, the first Sunday of the month (Sept-May).

Flower Guild
Every Saturday, except during Lent and Advent, the Flower Guild members make three flower arrangements for the church. Making the arrangements involves purchasing flowers on or before Saturday morning and arranging the flowers in Trinity’s kitchen. (Up to $60 will be reimbursed.) At Christmas and Easter, the guild members, along with many volunteers, transform the church with seasonal decorations.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers
During worship services, Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) assist clergy to administer the bread and the wine. Training is provided and we always welcome new participants. LEMs serve at both the 8am and 10am services as well as at special services like Easter, Christmas, confirmations, weddings, and funerals.

Readers and Intercessors
Readers and Intercessors are trained to read the scripture lessons and/or Prayers of the People during worship services, both on Sundays and during special services such as Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, and Christmas. We welcome adults and young people into this ministry. A strong voice and confidence with public speaking are required. Readers and intercessors are scheduled according to their availability, and readers are asked to prepare in advance by reviewing the lesson(s) they’ll be presenting during worship.

Stream Team
The Stream Team connects parishioners who aren't able to attend Trinity in person to our Sunday morning 10am service. Using cameras, microphones, computerized switching equipment, and lots of creativity, a meaningful experience for our remote participants is created. Comfort with technology, and patience with the inevitable challenges that come up when producing a live broadcast, are a must. We'll give you all the training you need and it’s a wonderful, fun way to serve.

Ushers
Ushers help ensure that worship services are welcoming and well-ordered by providing guidance and assistance to the congregation. Throughout the service, ushers help congregants with seating, communion, finding locations on the campus, and are always present at special services. Training is provided, and individuals are scheduled according to their availability, generally serve one time per month as part of an usher team.

Wedding Guild
Members of the Wedding Guild operate in teams, supporting the officiant and the couple to be married so that the wedding day goes smoothly. Most weddings are held on Saturday, so guild members attend the Friday rehearsal. Guild members arrive an hour before the wedding to ensure all is in place and be ready to assist as needed.

8 a.m. Service
The combined roles of Acolyte and Lay Eucharistic Minister consist of vesting and participating in the Altar Party. The Acolyte serves primarily to assist with preparing the altar for Holy Communion and the hand washing-both ceremonial and actual. The Lay Eucharistic Minister serves primarily as the chalice bearer during the administration of the Eucharist. The Lay Reader position consists of Lector and Intercessor. At the 8:00 service, the Lector reads the Old Testament and Epistle selections and leads the congregation in reciting the Psalm. The Intercessor leads the congregation in the Prayers of the People.
